In Central Israel, a couple has named their newborn daughter, Like. And i'm not kidding. The baby's name is legit, "Like" as in liking things on facebook. That was the reason they named her like. Facebook. The couple said that they want their children's names to be unique as well as short and sweet. They have two other children. That's probably because they live in Jerusalem. If they lived here, Pie would have tons of fat jokes thrown her way. I'm also assuming Like would get poked alot. Like Adler even has a facebook page! Like this to check it out.----> Like

I give props to the parents for taking extreme risks when it came to naming their children and completely support their attempt to be different, but I feel like they should have taken into consideration that most people probably wouldn't want Like or Pie as their name. I can't imagine that Like will be too thrilled with her parents once she comes to discover that her name is nothing more than a commonly used word in the dictionary. I know that if I were her I would probably feel embarrassed by my name, but hopefully she learns to embrace the uniqueness in it.
I wish I had a unique name like these kids. I absolutely can't stand when there's another taaja in my class, forcing me to have to write my last name initial on everything. It is the worst.
