Oh England. I loved your royal wedding but you have some strange, strange citizens.
Earlier this month, 74 year old gravedigger William Lambert was in court on 4 charges of rape and 3 charges of sexual assualt. The prosecution claims that in the 1980's, Lambert convinced young girls to have sex with him by claiming he was a "warlock" and could give them "special powers."
Alright, where to begin...First of all, I had no idea what a warlock was. Sounded like something out of a Harry Potter novel. I assumed it was some sort of weird ancient magician. Turns out it's the male equivalent of a witch. Secondly, I understand that people are entitled to their own beliefs and are totally allowed to believe warlocks exist... but c'mon. Really? Who hears, "Yeah I can give you special powers but you have to have sex with me first," and thinks Yeah that sounds legit. Not sketchy at all. Seems pretty fair. Lunatics, that's who. Or, as the prosecution says, "young, naive, impressionable girls." Furthermore, there are no "special powers" in the world that are worth that asking price.
When I read the headline of this story I thought it was hilarious, but once I read the actual article i discovered it's really just sick and disgusting and ridiculous...and still a little funny. Something about a senile old man claiming to be a warlock tickles me for some reason. Hopefully he's convicted and sent to jail for a very long time. Of course, if he in fact is a warlock it won't matter if we put him in jail. He'll just use his "special powers" to break out.

Clearly something is wrong with this guy...unless that's just what he's trying to make people think. I think this guy should be locked up for a very, very long time.
As much as I think this guy is a weirdo, I really did enjoy the humor in your article and the reference made to Harry Potter about Warlocks.
